Specially animators won't let me lie about the run out of space in maya's interface and special windows will be required as working with animatic for example, it's needed to run parallel to the animation work. So have you ever wanted separate window cameras that are not in the 4 panel layout and never know how??
here's an example of spaceless interface, here we have the perspective, shot, animatic and graph editor views all in the 4 panel layout
this is the very easy way to do it
1) First you have to create and choose (if needed) the camera you want to create the floating window from. So go to panels>>perspective and choose the apropiate camera
2)Select tear off copy to make the floating window with the selected camera, now you can have a separate window and put in on a second monitor if wanted :D
This help us to avoid having all views together, you can now use a 2 view panel and put the others on the other display as wanted.
much better way to work!
And guess what??
Nobody told me this!!
I am sure glad you told me!
